This 7-pin trailer plug has additional molded tabs on the housing, which have been covered with a fine texture to allow a better grip on the plug and thus make it easier to connect the trailer to the car. This is because it is often the case that the trailer plug does not get connected at the first attempt and has to be maneuvered into the correct position. With this plug, connecting is definitely easier.
